HARROGATE Theatre today unveiled the final piece of its restored auditorium in front of BBC's Antiques Roadshow presenters Hilary Kay and Paul Atterbury.
The television stars, who were in town to present their show Have You Had It Long Madam?, were on hand to endorse the chandeliers which have been commissioned by Harrogate Theatre to match the Victorian era of the building.
The chandeliers are based on designs discovered in period archives as no original photographs of the chandeliers have survived from 1900.
Coupled with research by the theatre's architect Frank Tugwell, this provided some indication of what lighting might have been there.
Harrogate Theatre's Chief Executive David Bown said: "The chandeliers really are the icing on the cake for the restored main auditorium."
The chandeliers were designed by the Brentwood Group of Harrogate and built by Great British Lighting of Fleetwood.
